Welcome to Rodger Corser Online, a fansite devoted to Rodger Corser, one of Australia's favourite actors. Here you will find the latest news, images and media featuring Rodger. Please have a look around and enjoy your stay!
You may know Rodger from projects such as Underbelly, the hit cop drama Rush, Home and Away or from any of Rodger's large array of television and film roles, all of which can be found on his career page or visually in the gallery.
I’ve opened up a brand new video archive for Rodger Corser Online, which replaces the old zip file download one that we had. With this one you can watch streaming videos on the site itself, no waiting for downloads! It’s like our own little Youtube page which will aim to showcase Rodger’s career. You can watch, comment, rate and share videos on social media sites!
I’ve added a few clips from some of Rodger’s past roles plus a few interviews, etc. I will be adding lots more in the future, but for now there’s a small selection of videos that you can enjoy right away.
The videos are in flash format, so if you are wanting to watch from an iphone or an ipad, you will need to download a special flash enabled browser. There are a few to choose from in the app store if you don’t have one already.
Hope you all like the new video archive and find it a little easier than the previous one. If you notice any errors, please let me know and I will fix them ASAP.
Here is the trailer for Paper Giants: Magazinen Wars, which begins on the ABC on Sunday, June 2nd at 8:30pm. You do get to see Rodger as Harry M. Miller in the trailer as well!
Check out the show’s official site for more information.
Want to know a little more about Camp before it starts airing on July 10th? Well now you can! There are several official sites on the show, including social media where you can chat along with other fans and join in with all the excitement which is building up for the premiere! Just check out the following sites:
NBC have released the first promotional photo for Camp, which is set to premiere in the US on Wednesday, July 10th at 10/9c. Rodger plays Roger Shepherd, the director of the rival camp “Ridgefield”, who will be in competition with Mack Granger’s (Rachel Griffiths) camp “Little Otter”.
I’ve finally been able to post the screencaps of Rodger from the Puberty Blues “Behind the Scenes” DVD extras. He wasn’t in a lot of them, but I have added caps from those that he was.
The premiere date for Camp has been set and for those in the USA, you can see Rodger as Roger Shepherd, the director of the rival camp “Ridgefield” starting on:
Wednesday, July 10th at 10pm on NBC
No news yet on when Camp will premiere in other countries, but hopefully it won’t be too long after July 10th.
When Paper Giants: Magazine Wars premieres later this year on ABC1, keep a look out for Rodger as celebrity agent, Harry M. Miller!
Paper Giants: Magazine Wars is the miniseries follow up to the successful Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo which aired in 2011.
ABC describes the storyline of Paper Giants: Magazine Wars as:
It’s 1987. Hair is big. Shoulder pads are wide. The Royals are still a family.
Flamboyant deputy editor Nene King storms out of New Idea to become editor of Women’s Day, determined to overthrow the immaculate queen of women’s magazines, Dulcie Boling.
The ‘new’ journalism was a potent mix of celebrities, gossip, clairvoyants, paparazzi and gave rise to cheque book journalism in Australia.
Not only does the public lap up the excesses, celebrities play the game, learning to exploit the magazines they claim to despise. Even the once untouchable Royals – Charles and Diana, Fergie and Andrew – are devoured by a media and public for whom nothing remains sacred.
The Magazine Wars create a monster, but will it finally turn on its makers?
It is the holy grail of TV: finding a personality who can help guarantee the perfect combination of viewing figures and financial return.
But just which local stars give the most bang for their buck?
Industry insiders were asked to compile a definitive list of the top 25 most bankable faces – and the results are surprising.
Audience Development Australia CEO David Castran said bankability involved longevity as well as popularity: “The first thing you will notice is there are no reality or variety people.”
Media analyst Steve Allen said: “You also have to ascertain risk. To take a genre, sports stars are seen as risk going towards high, even if they have seemingly nice personalities.”
David Knox, who runs TV Tonight website, said favour was fickle but the best stars kept winning fans over a long period.
Rodger is on the list and is described as being well known and has a likeable face!
You can see the full list of Australia’s 25 most bankable TV personalities at The Australian.
I would just like to wish Rodger a very happy 40th birthday!! I hope you’re having a wonderful day Rodger. May the next 40 years be filled with lots of wonderful and exciting adventures.
Enjoy the day and all the best for the next year. We’re all excited to hear about Camp!
